News & Updates
Doane is partnering with CBC Kids on Ukulele U, a colourful, energetic and inclusive show that inspires viewers young and old to sing along with her and her young cast members as they perform modern pop hits and songs they’ve learned from their parents.
Melanie recently joined Tom Power and Gill Deacon to talk about her new CBC Kids show, Ukulele U, and what it means to carry on a family tradition of music education started by her father, Order of Canada recipient J. Chalmers Doane.
Award-winning recording artist and ground-breaking music teacher, Melanie Doane is joined by 10 incredible kids to learn songs about friendship, feeling and the joy of singing, dancing and playing together.
On February 5th, the amazing Jann Arden joined 165 Doane Uschool music students at Revolution studio to record our cover of ‘Try a Little Kindness’ to raise money for our kids music charity. Then COVID-19 hit and we all wanted to share our song and raise money for other kids through United Way. Here’s how you can help #sharekindnessforkids
Happy Mother's Day to my mom and all my fellow moms out there! Check out my Mother's Day playlist on Spotify.
